The
purpose of the committee is to 1) develop guidelines for
the conduct and authorization, specifically of human subject
research and pilot studies, 2) review faculty research proposals
involving human or animal subjects and approve those meeting
ethical, and (3) ensure that acceptable standards of sanitation
and humane conditions are met in the use and keeping of
laboratory animals.
