About the Cullum Speaker Series

The Cullum Lecture Series is an inter-disciplinary program that began more than twenty years ago to provide students, faculty, and staff of ASU access to nationally and internationally known speakers on diverse topics. Most series since its inception have focused on one country, though some, such as one year's series on religion, cover topics that cross borders. The semester-long series, supported by the Cullum Foundation of Augusta, ASU, and individual donations (thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Fleischer!) provide the campus and the community opportunities to hear experts in a variety of fields, view performances, see films, and tour art exhibits. This program was identified by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities as one of the country's ten most innovative programs.
