Meets Weekly HCoB Conference Room

The general charge by the faculty to its Faculty Policies Committee shall be to concern itself with all aspects of faculty matters including teaching, research and other professional areas, and to encourage faculty members to participate in the process of university governance.  In addition, it shall be charged with carrying out certain special responsibilities and shall serve in special capacities for the faculty. We meet weekly in the HCoB Conference Room. While some agenda items of some meetings require closing the room, most meetingss are open to all faculty.

Fountain by University VillageThe Faculty Policies Committee exists to serve the Faculty at ASU, defined as:


"105.1.1.1 Membership
The faculty shall consist of the Corps of Instruction, the President of the University, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Vice President for Business Operations, the Vice President for Student Services, the Vice
President for Development and Alumni Relations, the Associate Vice Presidents, Assistant Vice Presidents, the Deans, the Associate Deans, the Assistant Deans, the Director of the Library, the Associate Director of the
Library, the Librarians, the Registrar, the Directors, the Associate Directors, the Assistant Directors, the Counselors, and such other administrative officers as are reported to the Board of Regents by the President as having faculty status.

The Corps of Instruction shall include full-time Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Instructors, Senior Lecturers, Lecturers, and teaching personnel with such other titles as may be approved by the Board of Regents. Full-time research and extension personnel and duly certified librarians will be included in the Corps of Instruction on the basis of comparable training."

The Science BuildingThe FPC deliberates on policy issues related to the faculty and recommends changes to the faculty at ASU Faculty Meetings.
