Agenda items: Old Business

1. Cullum Ad Hoc Committee – Jana Sandarg will report on the status of the application for the new class in January .

2. Sexual Harassment Committee Report – Drafts undergoing revision. Scheduled to report in January.

3. Retention/Graduation Study – Dr. Wendy Turner suggested an analogy for the report; the faculty and staff of ASU are the true Arsenal Oak, with deep roots through time and the community, something that will not be measured by statistics. FPC members suggested additional methods of combating the perception that we have a high failure rate, and they suggested organizational approaches to the data in the report. Andy Hauger has an example of a previous retention report from Ed Pettit which will be used as a starting point for format. Bill Dodd will add an additional cuts of <430/430,  330-429 and 310-399 and send them to the committee. A report will be prepared within the next two weeks, then more issues on this topic will be approached starting in January. Andy Hauger will prepare the numerical parts of the report, based on the existing handout he did two weeks ago. Gordon Eisenman will prepare the more narrative section. Michelle Benedict and Sabina Widner will prepare a problem statement and introduction. Hauger will provide Widner with an OIIT address she will need. The sections are due to be done by next Monday. Jim Garvey will take the sections and do a final rewrite.
