1. Parking

Andy Hauger sent a suggestion for a change to the fine structure for parking tickets to Public Safety but has not yet had a response.

2. Email Policy

Keith Luoma, Chair of Academic Policies, presented the history of the proposed email policy. Following discussion about the format, the level of detail of the policy, its function, and where it is to be published, the FPC chose to work to merge two possible versions of the policy, one brief and one detailed. Andy Hauger and Donna Hobbs will work to combine the two versions and return the results to the committee.

3. Cullum Series Changes

Andy Hauger reviewed how the proposed changes to the Cullum Series will affect the Faculty Manual, including changes in both the Cullum Committee section and the description of the FPC duties, as it is the responsibility of the FPC each spring to seek and select topics. He will continue working on adapting the changes to the format used in the Faculty Manual.

Jana Sandarg distributed and led a review of a syllabus and an application for the new Cullum 2900 class. She will forward the materials to the Curriculum committees.

4. International Affairs

A proposed change to the composition of the International Affairs Committee was unanimously approved as worded. The committee previously had eight members with at least one from each college. It now consists of seven faculty with at least one from each college, plus the Campus International Coordinator in an ex-officio and non-voting role.

5. Faculty Elections

The FPC discussed the timing of upcoming faculty elections. Bruce Saul is available as an advisor. Jeff Heck will help Donna Hobbs with the ballot process.

6. Sexual Harassment Committee Policy

Faculty Policies Committee will send email to faculty, students and staff concerning a forum to discuss the proposed sexual harassment policy changes. The Sexual Harassment Committee, Andy Hauger and Bill Reese comprise the panel, which will hold the forum Monday, March 10 at 3 p.m., in room W1002 of the Science Building. Andy Hauger will reserve the room.

7. Promotion and Tenure Recommendations
