Faculty Policies Committee Minutes

29 August 2005

Members present: Peggy Ruth Geren, Pam Hayward, Donna Hobbs, Pam Jackson, Wayne Mixon, Rick Pukis, Bob Reeves, Jana Sandarg, Bruce Saul, Mike Searles, Cathy Tugmon

•  Peggy Ruth Geren called the meeting to order at 3:05 pm and welcomed new members.

•  The committee unanimously approved minutes from 18 April 05.

•  Wayne Mixon noted that some faculty members on campus give their final exams without regard to the published schedule. Peggy Ruth will bring the matter to the attention of Dr. Sullivan.

•  Peggy Ruth asked for a volunteer to serve on the campus Employee Benefit Committee. Pam Hayward volunteered to fill that opening.

•  The FPC had a short discussion on the status of all committee appointments. Peggy Ruth said that the list was completed.

•  Peggy Ruth mentioned that FPC had received a packet of information from the Physical Facilities and Safety Committee. This information would be forwarded to the administration and the results would be monitored.

  •  The FPC was invited to the New Faculty Luncheon on 30 September 2005. Anticipated attendance and menu choices were recorded.

•  The meeting was adjourned at 3:45pm.
