Faculty Policies Committee Minutes

31 October 2005

Members present: Peggy Ruth Geren, Pam Hayward, Donna Hobbs, Pam Jackson, Wayne Mixon, Rick Pukis, Bob Reeves, Jana Sandarg, Bruce Saul, Mike Searles, Barry Thompson, Cathy Tugmon

•  Peggy Ruth called the meeting to order at 3:00 pm.

•  The FPC unanimously approved minutes from 24 October 05.

•  Cathy Barner from ITS visited the FPC to discuss options to help automate the campus committee selection process. Many positive ideas were shared and plans were formulated.

•  Jana Sandarg has scheduled a meeting of her student activities subcommittee in late November.

•  The FPC will stay in touch with the Physical Facilities and Safety Committee to monitor the progress of their current project.

•  The FPC reviewed information from Bill Dodd concerning a BOR directive to address the post-tenure review process. Peggy Ruth will address deadline limitations with him this week.

•  The meeting was adjourned at 3:50pm.
