Faculty Policies Committee Minutes

13 February 2006

Members present: Peggy Ruth Geren, Pam Hayward, Donna Hobbs, Pam Jackson, Rick Pukis, Bob Reeves, Jana Sandarg, Bruce Saul, Mike Searles

1. Peggy Ruth called the meeting to order at 3:05 pm.

2. The FPC unanimously approved (with a minor correction) minutes from 6 February 06.

3. Cathy Barner will visit on 20 Feb to discuss student evaluation options.

4. A representative from student activities will visit us on 13 March.

5. The FPC discussed wording in our recommended changes for the Faculty Manual.

6. The FPC discussed the faculty grievance policy. Questions were raised about the faculty's rights with regard to student behavior. This topic will be brought up again during the next meeting.

7. The meeting was adjourned at 4:15pm.
