Faculty Policies Minutes – April 9, 2007

Attending: Jim Benedict, Tom Colbert, Donna Hobbs, Pam Jackson, Sam Myers, Robert Reeves, Carol Rychly, Mike Searles, Cathy Tugmon (chair), Debbie van Tuyll (secretary).

1. Minutes of the March 26 meeting were approved with minor changes

2. Tugmon reported on the last University Council meeting. Several FPC items were approved to go forward to the full faculty. Two were sent back for further deliberation: the revisions to the Academic Policies Committee policy and the change in the constitution of the Scholarships Committee. Next year’s committee will take these matters up.

3. Committee members worked to compile the findings of the faculty workload survey. Tugmon and Myers agreed to write a summary to go along with the compilation and to forward the report to the president this week.
