Transient

An applicant who is a degree candidate at another institution who is granted the privilege of temporary enrollment at ASU.

Requirements: A student can be admitted to ASU as a transient student only if currently eligible for re-admission to the home institution.

  • Official Letter of Permission confirming good standing and permission to attend ASU for the desired term, mailed from the registrar of the home institution to ASU, and
  • An official transcript mailed from the home institution to ASU
  • Any further documents as requested by the ASU Office of Admissions

    • You may renew your status as transient for additional enrollment periods for a maximum of two consecutive semesters per calendar year. To continue for a third consecutive semester, you must submit written approval from your home institution and notify the ASU Admissions Office at least 30 days prior to the scheduled registration for the third enrollment period.
