
High School Guidance Counselor's Workshop
Save the Date! Augusta State's Office of Admissions is offering its seventh annual workshop for high school guidance counselors on February 28 - March 1, 2013, providing information on topics to assist you in the college advising process. Registration will begin December 1, 2012. The intensive two-day workshop is approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission to award one SDU/PLU for professional experience. The PLU's will be processed through the ASU College of Education.
Some of the topics that will be addressed include:

- University System of Georgia Update
- College Counselor Forum
- What's New with HOPE, Financial Aid & Accel
- Survival Skills for High School Counselors
- Admissions 411
Representatives from the Georgia Student Finance Commission, Augusta State University, Local Colleges, SACAC Institutions, and more will provide information. Bring your own questions and concerns and have them addressed by experts in the field.
