
High School Guidance Counselor's Workshop
Augusta State’s Office of Admissions is offering its sixth annual workshop for high school guidance counselors, providing information on topics to assist you in the college advising process.
The intensive two-day workshop is scheduled for Thursday, March 8, and Friday, March 9, and has been approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission to award one SDU/PLU for professional experience. The PLU's will be processed through the ASU College of Education.
Some of the topics that will be addressed include:

• University System of Georgia Update
• Counselor Forum
• What's New with HOPE, Financial Aid & Accel
• Student Interventions that Work; Survival Skills for High School Counselors
• Dealing with Cyber Bullyingww
• Admissions 411
Representatives from the Georgia Student Finance Commission, Georgia Institute of Technology, Furman University, Georgia State University, George Washington University, University of South Carolina - Aiken, Augusta State University, and other local college representatives will provide information. Bring your own questions and concerns and have them addressed by experts in the field.
