An audit student attends classes as a Non-Credit, non-degree seeking student, and must be at least a high school graduate or the equivalent. Audit students pay full tuition and fees for courses at ASU.
Requirements: Applicants for Audit status must show satisfactory completion of past academic work at the secondary, or post-secondary level with official transcripts mailed directly from the former institution.
A student who has earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution who wishes to take undergraduate courses for credit. A post-bacc student is not a degree candidate at Augusta State University or any other educational institution.
A student who has earned a Master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution who wishes to take graduate or undergraduate level courses for credit. A post-grad student is not a degree candidate at ASU or any other educational institution.
Requirements: Show satisfactory completion of a post-secondary degree by requesting an official transcript be mailed from the institution where the highest degree was earned.
An applicant who is a degree candidate at another institution who is granted the privilege of temporary enrollment at ASU.
Requirements: A student can be admitted to ASU as a transient student only if currently eligible for re-admission to the home institution.
You may renew your status as transient for additional enrollment periods for a maximum of two consecutive semesters per calendar year. To continue for a third consecutive semester, you must submit written approval from your home institution and notify the ASU Admissions Office at least 30 days prior to the scheduled registration for the third enrollment period.
ASU/Paine College Co-Enrollment:
Offered for students who want courses that are not offered at their home institution during a given semester or for students who have schedule conflicts that may be resolved by co-enrollment.
If you are enrolled at one institution for the equivalent of at least six semester hours of course work you may enroll for three or more semester hours of course work at the other institution. Courses for co-enrolled students from Paine College are offered on a space available basis, after the registration period for ASU students.
Requirements: Submit the application for co-enrollment to the other institution at least two weeks prior to the scheduled registration date. Applications are available from the Registrar's Office at ASU or Paine College. You will also be required to submit an official transcript from Paine College if co-enrolling at ASU.
