Scott Argo- several call me sargo
  1. Where do you live?
    Augusta, GA
  1. When did you graduate from ASU?
    2004
  1. What was your degree?
    Bachelor of Arts in Communications

    Gainesville College, Gwinnett Technical College
  1. Where do you work?
    ASU (in the admissions office)
  1. What is your favorite memory about ASU?
The summer semester of my senior year. I took 14 credit hours that semester (which felt like overload during the summer). Luckily, I took several of those courses with a neat group of people and we all became very good friends by the end of the semester.
  1. What is your favorite restaurant?
Hot Thomas- A hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint back home in Watkinsville. Locally, I really enjoy Rae's Coastal Café!
  1. Why are you involved with the Alumni Association?
The simple answer would be to give back and stay involved with the institution that has done so much for me. While this is true, I'd also have to say the comradery that is gained with fellow alums is also another prominent reason.
  1. What is your favorite movie?
    Rudy
  1. What did you learn at ASU that is most valuable to you today?
The most important would be that a career (and life for that matter) is more like a marathon than a sprint. It takes a lot of hard work over a long period of time to become successful and make you mark. It can't be done in one day!
  1. What are current activities that you are involved in?
ASU Alumni Board events, MCG's Red Wagon Society, attending ASU Athletic Events and finishing up my Master's Degree.
  1. What is your favorite season?
Spring- I do live in Augusta!
  1. What is your favorite vacation spot?
Anywhere with water and a hammock! I'm a pretty simple person.
  1. What is your favorite Alumni Association event?
The Jaguar Jaunt. I think it's probably one of the most successful events that the Alumni Association has that connects students, faculty, alums, and friends of the community all in one outing!
  1. What is your favorite color?
I'm an ASU graduate. I have to say Blue
  1. Who is your closest friend from your college days at ASU? I'm closest with my friend Kristie (Johnson) Gregory because of my "college days" at ASU. However, there are a lot of other neat individuals I met through various ASU functions.
  1. What professor had the biggest impact on you at ASU, Why?
These questions really are hard to just answer. The Communications and Political Science (MPA) department are loaded with remarkable professors. I'd say Kelly Dorgan probably made the most impact on me. I took her for my first communications class and she had so much energy and pushed her students to work hard and think outside the box. Although I only had her for one semester, I think she helped me "turn the light on" so to speak and understand what I wanted to do with my life!
  1. What is one goal you haven't achieved yet that you are working on?
Complete my Master's Degree (I have one paper left and I am finished) and possibly even get my doctorate in something later in life.
  1. What is your favorite TV show?
    Boston Legal
