Kristin McKinley (MA – Psychology ’98) lives in Combined Locks, Wisconsin, with her husband and two children. She is employed by YMCA.
Christopher A. Shaffer (MED – Secondary Education ’98) currently works as Director of Library Services for Troy University in Dothan, Alabama. He has taught both middle and high school history, including a year in Eastern Europe.
Sheri Robertson Lesperance (BSED – Early Childhood Education ’09) was married on June 13, 2009.
Allison S. Schofield (BSED – Early Childhood Education ’08) and Jonathan S. Lenartz (ASN – Nursing ’09) were married on May 30, 2009.
Marcia L. Frank (BA – History ’95) currently teaches high school social studies in Walterboro, SC. After attending Augusta State University, she obtained her MAT from Charleston Southern University in 2005.
Travis P. Myers (BBA – Finance ’08) was married on July 4, 2009.
Summer Finley Bell (BBA – Accounting ’06) was married on May 30, 2009.
Shannon Wilkerson, a two-time All-American for ASU, was recently signed with the Boston Red Sox. The 2009 National Player of the Year was assigned to the Lowell Spinners of the Class A New York-Penn League. Wilkerson is the highest draft pick in the 45-year history of the Jaguar baseball program.
Garret Siler, who was voted the NCAA Southeast Regional’s Most Outstanding Player, was added to the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves Summer League roster. The league ran from July 10-19 on the University of Nevada campus in Las Vegas.
Carol L. Revelle (BA – English ’97) recently received her in Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Texas. She resides in Carollton, Texas, with her husband and two children.
Augusta State University was saddened to learn of the passing of Robert B. Pamplin in June 2009. He was the husband of the late Katherine Reese Pamplin and retired CEO of Georgia Pacific Corporation. The Pamplins were long-time supporters of Augusta State and benefactors of the Reese Library and Pamplin College of Arts and Sciences. Mr. Pamplin was 97.
Chris Cooper (BSED – Health & Physical Education ’05) was recently promoted to head baseball coach. Cooper, previously an assistant coach, replaces former head baseball coach Stanley “Skip” Fite, who recently resigned.
Michael T. Cain (BA – Communications ’95) recently received his MFA in Dramatic Writing from Alephi University in Garden City, New York. He currently resides in Albertson, New York.
