A three-year assignment at Georgia Iron Works changed Thomas Mueller's life forever. Originally from Germany, his first job after graduating from the University of Darmstadt was with Dornier Systems in Friedrichshafen, Germany, where he worked as a design engineer in the Space Travel Division. Justin Weaver has a unique way of looking at his job.
"One of my favorite quotes is 'My job is to make everybody else's job easier,'" the Savannah River Site senior engineer says.
After graduating from ASU in 1998 with a degree in computer science, Justin received an internship from the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education at the site. Continue> |

The annual A Day for Augusta State University campaign to raise friends and funds for the university exceeded its goal by more than $55,000 as the campaign drew to a close on Oct. 6, with a total of $472,000. The two-part campaign, which began on Sept. 21, raised money for scholarships, faculty development, and academic support programs that could not be funded by state dollars. Continue> |

The annual ASU Alumni BBQ was held on Friday, October 6, 2006, culminating 12the annual A Day for ASU campaign. Over 950 tickets were sold for this year's BBQ, making it one of the largest ever. All proceeds benefit the ASU Faculty/Alumni Scholar Program. Continue> |
