Among his community activities, he is vice chair of the ASU Foundation, past chair and vice chair of the Georgia State Personnel Board, a member of the Columbia County Good Government Coalition and president of the CSRA Shield Club, which provides assistance to families of deputies and firefighters who have fallen in the line of duty. In 2006 the Augusta Jewish Community Center voted him Humanitarian of the Year.
Mr. Alalof also enjoys racquetball and traveling, when he’s not spending time with his eight grandchildren.
