The Augusta State University Alumni Association cruised the Augusta Canal on May 3. Approximately sixty alumni participated in the Connect on the Canal outreach event. Cruisers enjoyed a nice reception before setting sail on an hour-long cruise.
"We have wanted to host this event for our alumni for some time now," says Wes Zamzow, Coordinator of Alumni Relations. "The weather could not have been better and everyone really enjoyed themselves." Mr. Zamzow said the Canal Cruise was going to be an annual event.
The Alumni Association is planning to host several outreach events over the next year and encourage alumni to participate.
