The Augusta State University Alumni Association is accepting nominations for this year's Alumni Association Awards. 

Nomination categories are as follows:

Distinguished Alumnus/a
(awarded to alumni who have achieved a level of excellence in their chosen profession and have provided outstanding support to the community and Augusta State University)
Distinguished Service
(awarded to non-alumni who have best served the interests of Augusta State University and made a significant commitment to furthering the goals and mission of the university)
Town/Gown
(awarded to a professor or university administrator who has actively worked to unite Augusta State University with the community)
Golden Key
(awarded to alumni who have actively supported Augusta State University and the Alumni Association and who are successful in their careers and community involvement)
Young Alumnus/a
(awarded to alumni who graduated within the last 10 years (class of 2000 or later), are 35 years old or younger, and have manifested special interest in Augusta State University and their community)

We have many deserving alumni who have benefited our community, Augusta State University and the Alumni Association.  If you feel as though they meet the criteria for the various award categories I encourage you to nominate them.  Some may be worthy of more than one nomination.  In this instance, I encourage you to nominate them for each award category you feel is appropriate.

There are several ways you can nominate an individual.  You may submit a nomination online by visiting www.aug.edu/alumni or you may print the form and fax it to the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at 706.737.1439.  Please note that nominations are due by December 9. The recipients will be honored on Friday, February 10 at the Alumni Association Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration.

The Augusta State University Alumni Association is seeking new board members!

The Alumni Association Board of Directors, the governing body of the Augusta State University Alumni Association, has been a very involved and active group for many years. We are seeking new members to join our team to continue to build and develop programming for alumni in the Central Savannah River Area and around the state. The Board of Directors is a working board as all members are expected to attend monthly board and committee meetings and volunteer at the various alumni events. Potential board members should be active and involved with the association. Appointment to the board is for a three year term. The board is comprised of no more than 35 members with representation from each college.
