April says that she has many fond memories of Augusta State University, but what truly made her time at Augusta State University special was its sense of community and support.
“I really enjoyed the rapport between students and professors. All my professors were eager to help advance their students beyond teaching in the classroom,” she said. “I think the relationships that I have made throughout my time at ASU have been very valuable to me.”
One of those valuable relationships is still helping mentor and guide her today.
“Dr. Page…has been a mentor to me both academically and professionally. He has inspired me to continue my education,” she said.
With her newborn, April says that she has less time to indulge in her hobbies these days, but she likes to spend time geocaching and swimming when she has the opportunity. She also loves to go camping, and enjoys experiencing new places.
If you are a fan of vampires, werewolves, and fairies, you are not alone; April’s favorite television show is HBO’s “True Blood.” On the cinematic side, she says that her favorite movie is “Field of Dreams.”
Though she was at a wedding during the “A Day” Alumni Barbecue this year, she tells us the event is her favorite Alumni Association event.
