The World is Your Classroom
Studying abroad for a summer, quarter, semester, or year will give you a fresh perspective on yourself, the United States, and the world. By living in a foreign country you will constantly challenge yourself in many new and exciting ways and gain a level of independence you never knew you had. Studying abroad will expose you to diverse people and viewpoints, and you will get to experience a different way of life apart from yours in the United States. You will be immersed in the language, culture, and people of your host country and will get to experience life as a resident, not as a mere tourist.
Achieving all these things can be done while earning credit toward your current degree. Our study abroad programs offer a large range of subject areas; from biology to philosophy we can help you earn credit while experiencing the world! When you return from abroad you may actually be ahead of your classmates who stayed behind.
Augusta State University offers programs for every student’s needs. Our shortest programs are one week and our longest programs are for a semester. With so many choices you can select the course, length, and price that are right for you!

Who Can Study Abroad?
Overseas study programs are open to all ASU students who are in good academic standing. Some programs may have certain other requirements, such as a minimum grade point average. In most cases, knowledge of the host language is not a prerequisite.
What Does It Cost?
The quoted prices are estimated as air fares and hotel rates are subject to change. While the costs for study abroad programs may seem high at first, if you add up tuition, fees, housing, meals, and cost of round-trip air fares, you will find that the programs are reasonable. Most forms of financial aid will apply to study aboard, including the Hope Scholarship. The Regents Study Aboard Scholarships and other competitive scholarships are also available for some programs. Questions regarding financial aid should be directed to the campus coordinator of the program or to the financial aid office.
