More Info on the Mary S. Byrd Gallery of Art
The Mary S. Byrd Gallery of Art is a teaching and cultural resource for Augusta State University and the Central Savannah River Area. It supports a number of visiting artists' lectures and demonstrations and hosts six to eight exhibitions a year, including shows for faculty, graduating seniors, and regionally or nationally known artists.
One of the most popular shows of the year is the Annual Juried Student Show, usually held early in the spring semester. It kicks off with a reception and awards night, when a juror's selection of our students' very best work is displayed, and exceptional students are honored with awards.
