The College of Arts and
Sciences includes 14 departments: Art, Biology, Chemistry/Physics,
Communications/Professional Writing, English/Foreign Languages,
History/Anthropology/Philosophy, Learning Support, Mathematics/Computer
Science,
Military Science, Music, Nursing,
Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology.
Through these departments, the
College of
Arts and Sciences offers course work which provides general education
to students in all majors and leads to a variety of undergraduate
majors
and minors as well as two master's degrees, a Master of
Science in Psychology and a Master of Public Administration.

The Katherine Reese Pamplin
College of Arts
and Sciences, by offering a broad array of undergraduate courses and
degree programs and selected graduate degrees, provides students with
strong foundations in liberal arts and sciences as well as preparation
for careers, citizenship, and a life-long love of learning. Dedicated
to excellence in teaching and advising, the Pamplin College of Arts and
Sciences is also committed to creating opportunities for intellectual
growth, community involvement, and development of an academic community
which models humane values and respects human diversity.
