Lab 6

This in-lab assignment introduces you to Visual Basic.

1) Get to drive H and then EXIT back to windows

2) Open Visual Basics - is under Start, Programs, Programming Languages

3) Open the existing project AutoRepair on drive H in my subdirectory.

4) Run the project (through the menu or F5)

enter a customer name, hours of labor, and cost of parts

click on CALCULATE

5) Change the hours of labor and then click on CALCULATE

6) Click on EXIT

7) Click on the text box next to "Hours of Labor"

Look at the properties, especially Name, Alignment, Font, and TabIndex

8) Click on the words "Hours of Labor" (a label)

Look at the properties, especially Caption, Alignment, and Font

Drag the box over to the left

Drag the lower right corner of the box and enlarge it

9) Click on the CALCULATE button and look at its properties

10) Right click on the form and select VIEW CODE
