The committee advises the Director of Information Technology Services regarding the computing resources, computing facilities and other technological issues, including reviewing the planning and spending proposals for campus resources. The committee will annually evaluate the computing resources and services. The committee reviews and recommends policies and procedures concerning the acquisition, installation, use, maintenance, and replacement of computing equipment. The committee will offer guidance in planning and budgeting for computing needs. The committee chair will serve as the "academic computing representative" to the Administrative Committee on Information Technology for the University System.
