AUGUSTA, Ga. - Augusta State head baseball coach Chris Cooper announced this morning that today’s non-conference game at West Georgia, scheduled for this afternoon at 3:00 p.m., in Carrollton, Ga., has been postponed due to forecasted inclement weather.

Cooper indicated the contest against the Braves and former ASU head coach Skip Fite would be rescheduled at a later date. (More)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Augusta State’s non-conference tennis matches against Wingate, slated for Tuesday afternoon, have been postponed due to the forecast of inclement weather.

The men’s and women’s tennis matches have been rescheduled for Thursday, March 11 at 1:00 p.m.

The ASU men’s team returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 10 when they travel to Tifton, Ga. to take on Abraham Baldwin at 1:00 p.m. (More)

ASU Escapes Braves' Upset Bid
No. 12 Jags post fourth consecutive 20-win season

PEMBROKE, N.C. - Augusta State placed all five starters in double figures Monday night and held off a valiant effort from UNC Pembroke for an 82-77 Peach Belt Conference road win at the English E. Jones Center.

With the victory, ASU (20-12, 12-1) recorded its fourth consecutive 20-win season and its 15th straight win against the Braves. The victory lifted the Jaguars to 101-21 overall and to 60-9 in the PBC since the beginning of the 2006- 07 campaign. (More)

UNCP Holds Off Lady Jags

PEMBROKE, N.C. - UNC Pembroke’s Jatoya Kemp scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Lady Braves past Augusta State 74-61 Monday in the English E. Jones Center on the UNCP campus.

The win lifted UNCP to 12-11 overall and 6-8 in the PBC. With the loss, ASU dropped to 1-21 on the season and 0-13 in the league. The setback was the 18th in a row for the Lady Jaguars.   (More)

AUGUSTA, Ga. --
The Augusta State men’s golf squad moved up into the top five Sunday in the first Golfweek magazine updated national rankings of the Spring, 2010 season.

The Jaguars, who posted four top-six finishes and took fourth or better in each their last three events, finished the Fall, 2009 campaign ranked No. 9 by both Golfweek magazine and Golfstat. (More)
