AUGUSTA, Ga. - North Greenville’s Karly Stache scored a game-high 28 points Friday night to lead the Lady Crusaders past Augusta State, 73-65, in the first day of the Lady Jaguar Tip-Off Classic in Christenberry Fieldhouse.

With the victory, NGU evened its record at 1-1 while the Lady Jaguars dropped to 0-2. The contest marked the home opener for ASU. (More)

Men's golf closes Fall with No. 9 national ranking

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Augusta State men’s golf squad wrapped up its Fall, 2009 season by moving into the top 10 in both Golfweek magazine’s national rankings and the Golfstat national ratings.

The Jaguars, who posted four top-six finishes and took fourth or better in each their last three events, are ranked No. 9 in two of intercollegiate golf’s most respected polls. (More)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Augusta State men’s and women’s tennis teams recently were ranked in the Southeast Regional rankings. The women’s team also moved into the top 30 in the national rankings.

Under the watch of head coach Michael McGrath, the ASU men’s squad is No. 9 in the Southeast Regional rankings while the Lady Jaguars moved to No. 5 in the region polls. The ASU women’s squad also earned a No. 22 ITA national ranking. (More)

ASU To Play Host

AUGUSTA, Ga. --
Augusta State will host the Lady Jaguar Tip-Off Classic this weekend in Christenberry Fieldhouse.

USC Aiken (1-0) and Glenville State match up Friday at 5:30 p.m., while the Lady Jags take on North Greenville at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Lady Jags and Lady Pacers will swap opponents, with ASU meeting the Lady Pioneers at 2:00 p.m., and USCA’s contest to follow. (More)

Lady Jags Drop Opener

JEFFERSON CITY, S.C. --
Carson-Newman jumped out to a 52-22 halftime lead Wednesday night and posted a 100-64 non-conference victory over Augusta State in Holt Fieldhouse.

The contest marked the season opener for the Lady Jaguars (0-1), while the Lady Eagles improved to 2-0 with the win.
