Jaguars Finalize 2010-11 Schedule
Exhibition at Georgia, 14 home games highlight slate

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Fourteen home dates and a Nov. 5 exhibition matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs highlight the 2010-11 Augusta State men’s basketball schedule, Jaguar head coach Dip Metress officially announced Thursday.

The Jaguars, who made third straight Elite Eight appearance in 2009-10, return five lettermen from last season’s squad that posted a 29-4 record while capturing the Peach Belt Conference’s regular-season championship as well as the NCAA Southeast Regional title. (More)

ASU Picked To Finish Third In PBC

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Augusta State Volleyball squad has been picked to finish third in the Peach Belt Conference, according to the preseason poll recently released from the league office. The voting was done by the PBC’s eight head coaches.

The Jaguars are entering their 26th season overall and second under head coach Sharon Bonaventure. In 2009, the Jags posted a 22-12 record, including a 9-5 league mark. (More)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Augusta State men’s cross country squad was picked to finish fifth in the Peach Belt Conference’s preseason poll, according to a recent release from the league office. The voting was done by the league’s nine head coaches.

The Jaguars are in their first season under head coach Adam Ward after the reinstatement of the men’s cross country program last summer. (More)

Hicks Joins Athletics Staff

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Kayla Hicks has been named assistant media relations director at Augusta State, Athletic Media Relations Director Joey Warren announced Friday.

Hicks will assist in the day-to-day operations of the ASU media relations office while serving as the primary contact for the Jaguar volleyball and softball squads as well as the men’s and women’s tennis teams.  (More)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Augusta State women’s cross country squad has been tabbed fourth in the NCAA Southeast Region’s preseason poll, according to a recent release from the USTFCCCA (U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association).
