Lady Jags stop losing streak at five with
6-2 win over Anderson College

S.C. -- The Augusta State women's tennis team ended a five-match losing
streak with a 6-2 victory over Anderson College Wednesday afternoon at the Max
Grubbs Memorial Courts. In men's action, Anderson posted a 5-1 victory over the
Jags.
The Lady Jags led 2-1 after their doubles matches and then won four of the top five singles matches to capture the win. Anderson falls to 6-9 on the spring while ASU improves to 5-10.
For the men, the Trojans won 9-8 at both No. 1 and No. 2 doubles and got an 8-4 victory at No. 3 doubles to enter singles with a 3-0 lead. The match was called after Sid Sudhaker provided the winning point with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over ASU's Victor Meza.
The Trojans improve to an 11-3 record, while the Jags fall to 12-7.
