ASU Netters Pick Up Road Wins

NEWBERRY, S.C. -- The Augusta State men's and women's tennis teams defeated Newberry 8-1 Thursday afternoon in non-conference tennis action.

ASU's men's squad took all six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches. Five of the six Lady Jags claimed their singles matches, while ASU won all three doubles matches.

With the win, the Jags improved to 5-0, while the Lady Jags moved to 2-0.

ASU travels to Savannah Saturday to take on Armstrong Atlantic State in a pair of Peach Belt Conference matchups at 1:00 p.m.
