AUGUSTA, Ga. - Augusta State head baseball
coach Chris Cooper announced Friday the addition of four
prospect`s to the Jaguar Baseball program.
With the signing of three freshmen and one
junior-college standout, Cooper has finalized his 2010
recruiting efforts and solidified his corps of pitchers.
Junior-college transfer Rob Crosby, a 5-11, 175-pound
right-handed pitcher from Covington, Ga., and Georgia
Perimeter College, posted a 4-0 record in 11 appearances
and seven starts.

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Augusta State head baseball
coach Chris Cooper announced Tuesday the addition of
Jake Sutton to the Jaguar Baseball program.
A 6-0, 155-pound shortstop from North Point, Fla.,
Sutton will have three years of eligibility remaining
after transferring from Armstrong Atlantic State. As a
freshman in 2010, he started in all 50 games for the
Pirates and batted .256 with three doubles, a triple and
20 RBI. He posted a .945 fielding percentage and
committed only 16 errors in 292 chances.

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Augusta State head baseball
coach Chris Cooper announced Friday the addition of
second baseman Jeff Rice to the Jaguar Baseball program.
A local product from Martinez who prepped at Evans High,
Rice spent his freshman season as a redshirt at Mercer
University. He did not see any on-field action for the
Bears and will have four years of eligibility remaining.

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Augusta State head baseball
coach Chris Cooper announced Monday the signing of
Menelik Vereen to a national letter-of-intent.
A 6-3, 200-pound outfielder from Lilburn, Ga., Vereen
will join the Jaguar Baseball program for the Fall, 2010
semester.
A product of the powerhouse Parkview High School
baseball program in metro-Atlanta, Vereen started in
centerfield as a senior.
