ASU Season Opener Postponed
Jaguars to host Carson-Newman in Saturday twinbill

ASUAUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta State’s official debut under first-year head baseball coach Chris Cooper will have to wait one more day.

Cooper, an ASU alum who took over the program last June, will lead the Jaguars out against Carson-Newman in a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 6. First pitch is scheduled for 12 noon at Lake Olmstead Stadium.

The Jaguars were originally slated to host the Eagles in a four-game series beginning Friday at 2:00 p.m. That game has been postponed due to forecasted inclement weather.

ASU wraps up the series with Carson-Newman on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 11:00 a.m. Cooper indicated a decision has yet to be made on whether Friday’s game will be rescheduled.
