ORLANDO, Fla. -- Augusta State overcame swampy conditions to place 18th out of 44 teams Saturday morning in the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex.

Individual results were not immediately available due to the amount of competitors. The event featured over 3,300 entries from 15 different states, with over 3,300 runners expected in the college/open races and in the high school division and nearly 900 in the college/open races.

There were 95 women’s and men’s collegiate teams expected to compete in the college/open race representing all four NCAA divisions.

The Jaguars return to action in two weekends, hosting the Peach Belt Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 20 at Blanchard Woods Park in Evans , Ga.
