| Jaguars compete in Greater Louisville Classic 5K meet |

LOUISVILLE,
Ky. – Augusta State finished 34th Saturday morning in the Greater Louisville Classic at E.P. Tom
Sawyer State Park.
The Jaguars, the No. 4 team in the NCAA’s Southeast Region rankings, were one of 12 non-Division I programs among the 35 teams competing in the 5K meet.
Freshman Holly Keeper turned in ASU’s best finish, crossing the line in 163rd position with a time of 19:56.67.
Sophomore Savannah Sutton was 197th, senior Sophie Baconnet was 207th, sophomore Angela Woodward was 209th and freshman Ivori Sneed came in at 226th. Among the non-counters were sophomore Kathleen Kennedy and senior Kara Kreutzer, who came in at No. 228 and No. 231, respectively.
Purdue claimed the team title, followed by Kentucky and host Louisville took second and third place while Missouri and Western Kentucky tied for fourth. WKU’s Janet Jesang won the individual title with a time of 16:47.97.
ASU returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 10 when the Jags travel to Tallahassee, Fla, to compete in the Florida State Invitational.
