ASU Fifth At Regional Championships
Freshman Keeper leads Jaguars with seventh-place finish

WINGATE, N.C. – Augusta State finished in fifth place Saturday morning at the NCAA Southeast Regional cross country meet hosted by Wingate University.

The Jaguars were paced by freshman Holly Keeper, who posted a time of 24:00 in the 6K run and finished seventh. Sophomores Savannah Sutton and Angela Woodward were 20th and 24th, respectively, while sophomore Lyndsay Nichols was 70th and senior Sophie Baconnet was 73rd.

Freshman Ivori Sneed was 93rd and senior Kara Kreutzer crossed the finish line in 96th position.

Augusta State ended the season with three top-five finishes. Coach Adam Ward was named the Cross Country Coach-Of-The-Year by his fellow peers for the fourth consecutive year.
