BISHOP, Ga. – The Augusta State Jaguars mudded their way through sloppy conditions Saturday morning to finish third in the Georgia Cross Country Invitational.

Freshman Holly Keeper paced ASU for the second time in as many events, leading the Jaguars with a 19th-place finish of 21:09.51. Savannah Sutton and Sophie Baconnet crossed the line 24th and 25th, while Angela Woodward was 29th and Kathleen Kennedy was 32nd. Freshman Ivori Sneed finished 34th while Lyndsay Nichols, Kara Kreutzer and Shelby Sutton were 40th, 41st and 45th, respectively.

Host Georgia claimed the team title, followed by Emory, ASU, North Georgia and Oglethorpe.

ASU returns to action next weekend in its premier event, hosting the Jaguar Invitational at Blanchard Woods Park in Evans, Ga.
