Jeff BurkhamerBryan TaylorThe Armstrong Atlantic State men's basketball team makes its third NCAA postseason appearance in its last four seasons under head coach Jeff Burkhamer. The Pirates are 21-8 this season, the third 20-win season in the last four years, and this is the first time in school history that AASU has won 20 games in back-to-back seasons since 1971-73.

Senior All-PBC forward Bryan Taylor (14.2 ppg, 8.2 rpg) led the PBC in rebounding this year and is only the second player in school history to earn All-PBC honors three times. Senior All-PBC guard Tory Harris (14.2 ppg) was twice named PBC Player of the Week and comes into the regional averaging 18.5 points per game in his last six games. Junior guard Jamaal Galloway set the all-time AASU three-point record during the season (197) and as a team, the Pirates lead the PBC and are on pace to set a school record for free throw percentage (.748).

AASU knocked off two ranked teams this season, including then-No. 2 Clayton State back on 1/24, and overall the Pirates are 2-3 against the region field with wins over Clayton State and Catawba.
