| Former Standouts To Be Honored Sunday |

AUGUSTA,
Ga. – Augusta State Athletics unveiled plans on Thursday to honor four former basketball standouts at
the Jaguars’ men’s basketball season opener with West Georgia on Sunday, November 15 in Christenberry
Fieldhouse.
Lawanna Monday, the all-time leading scorer in ASU men’s and women’s basketball history, will be recognized for
her contributions to the Lady Jaguar program and will have her No. 44 jersey retired.
Two-time All-American Tyrekus “AJ” Bowman, who led the Jags to the 2008 NCAA Tournament National
Championship game, will be honored with his No. 23 jersey alongside Monday.
Former Lady Jaguar Debbie Born and former men’s standout Keenan Mann will be recognized as well. Born and
Mann were the first ASU student-athletes to have their jerserys retired in 1993.
The ceremonies will take place at 4:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon, prior to the tipoff between the Jags and Wolves.
