AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Augusta State men's and women's basketball teams, who closed out their respective seasons Saturday at USC Upstate, will now turn their attention to the upcoming Peach Belt Conference's Men's and Women's Basketball Championships.

The format includes four games each day Wednesday-Saturday, with the championship contests slated for Sunday, March 5. On Wed., March 1, two women's and two men's first-round games will take place, followed by four women's quarterfinal matchups on Thursday and four men's quarterfinal matchups on Friday. Four semifinal games -- two women's and two men's -- are slated for Saturday.

Game times are 1:00 p.m., 3:00, 5:00 and 7:00 each day Wednesday-Friday, with Saturday's schedule set for 2:00 p.m., 4:00, 6:00 and 8:00. Sunday's championships are slated for 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The Lady Jags closed the regular season with victories in five of their last eight games. In contrast, USC Aiken sported an 8-8 record after a 68-56 victory on Jan. 23 at Georgia College & State, but went just 3-8 in its last 11 games.
