Jaguars Remain Atop Region Poll
Lady Jaguars land at No. 9 for second consecutive week

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- For the third straight week, Augusta State is ranked No. 1 in the South Atlantic Regional poll.

The Jaguars, winners of 14 straight games heading into Wednesday night’s clash at Clayton State, are coming off an 80-57 Homecoming victory over UNC Pembroke on Sat., Feb. 17 in Christenberry Fieldhouse.

The ASU Lady Jaguars, who have won eight of their last nine games, are ranked ninth in the South Atlantic Region for the second consecutive week.

ASU began its Peach Belt Conference schedule 1-4 before winning seven straight contests. After a 65-53 loss at Columbus State last week, the Lady Jags rebounded with an 81-46 blowout of UNC Pembroke on Saturday.

Both squads close out the regular season with Senior Day on Sat., Feb. 24 vs. Georgia Southwestern. Game times are 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. in Christenberry Fieldhouse.
