ASU To Host "Blackout" Monday
Jaguars face USC Aiken in pair of key PBC showdowns

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State Athletics is requesting everyone in attendance for Monday’s Peach Belt Conference doubleheader with USC Aiken to wear black in support of the Jaguars at Christenberry Fieldhouse.

The “Blackout” begins with the women’s 5:30 p.m. matchup between the 9-4 Lady Jaguars and the 10-3 Lady Pacers, who have been ranked nationally for much of the season. The fan with the most outrageous black outfit will win $100 in JagCard cash.

The doubleheader will conclude with the highly-anticipated men’s showdown between the 18th-ranked Jaguars (10-3, 5-1) and the No. 7 Pacers (13-1, 7-0) at 7:30 p.m. The contest will mark just the second-ever meeting between two nationally-ranked squads in Christenberry Fieldhouse.

Last season, No. 16 ASU defeated No. 10 Clayton State 76-67 on Feb. 7, 2007 in front of 1,823 fans at Christenberry Fieldhouse.

All students, faculty and staff are admitted free with a valid ASU ID. Tickets are $5 at the ASU ticket office and the Christenberry box office, which will open an hour prior to tipoff at 4:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

A live webcast of both games will be available at www.aug.edu/athletics
