This year’s event marks the fourth year of Administaff’s affiliation with the event and the third year the tourney has been played at Champions Retreat Golf Club ... This year’s 18-team field matches 2007 for the largest in tourney history ... Of the 18 participating teams, 10 are ranked among the top 31 in the nation in the latest Golfweek and Golfstat magazine rankings, as of Tuesday, Feb. 5 ... Georgia (1st in Golfweek, 1st in Golfstat) is the highest-ranked team in the field ... Other ranked teams include: No. 4/6 Georgia Tech, No. 5/2 UCLA, No. 7/12 Tennessee, No. 17/11 Clemson, No. 19/14 South Carolina, No. 20/26 Lamar, No. 28/25 North Carolina, No. 29/33 East Tennessee State and No. 31/24 Virginia Tech, along with USC Aiken, the No. 10-ranked team in Division II ... Augusta State has won six of the last nine Administaff ASU Invitational titles ... In 2003, the Jaguars set new tournament records for both the lowest team total (820/-44) and individual total (Oliver Wilson -- 199/-17) ...
