San Martin, Calif. -- Augusta State carded a 13-over 373 Wednesday in the third and final round of the CordeValle Collegiate at CordeValle Country Club.

Ranked No. 31 in the nation by Golfstat, the Jaguars finished in 10th place in the 12-team field. Sophomore Henrik Norlander paced ASU with a one-over 73 in the third round and a tie for 28th at nine-over 225 (76-76-73). Senior Janne Kaske bounced back to match Norlander for the Jags’ best round of the day. Freshman Taylor Floyd tied for 37th after a three-over 75 while Jake Amos and Carter Newman tied for 45th and 55th, respectively, with a pair of 76’s. Freshman Brendan Gillins finished 57th after a six-over 78.

Southern California, the top-ranked team in the field at No. 4, booked a one-over 361 and claimed a 26-shot victory over runnerup and 11th-ranked Stanford. Tourney host UCLA was third, one shot back of the Cardinal, while Washington and Charlotte rounded out the top five.

Southern Cal’s Tim Sluiter and Washington’s Nick Taylor tied for medalist honors at four-under 212. Southern Cal’s Tom Glissmeyer finished alone in third at three-under 213 and Stanford’s Sihwan Kim and USC’s Matthew Giles tied for fourth at two-under 214.

The tourney marked the end of ASU’s fall schedule. The Jags’ first spring event is slated for Feb.23-24, 2009 in the UCF Rio Pinar Invitational at Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando, Fla.
