GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Augusta State posted a six-under 570 Saturday during the first two rounds of the UNCG Bridgestone Intercollegiate at Forest Oaks Country Club.

Paced by junior Mitch Krywulycz, the ninth-ranked Jaguars are tied for fourth place, six shots back of second place and 10 shots off the pace set by Michigan.

ASU, who played alongside Michigan and Notre Dame Saturday, combined for a one-under 287 in the first round and followed with a five-under 283 in the second round. Krywulycz booked consecutive rounds of 3-under 69 and is tied for sixth place at 6-under 138, three strokes out of the lead.

Junior Henrik Norlander turned in back-to-back 2-under 70’s and is tied for 10th at 4-under 140. Junior Carter Newman signed for a 1-under 71 in the afternoon after opening with a 2-over 74 and is tied for 34th at 1-over 145. Sophomore Patrick Reed notched a 2-over 74 and a 1-over 73 and is tied for 46th at 3-over 147. Sophomore Taylor Floyd managed rounds of 76 and 74 and is tied for 55th at 6-over 150.

Michigan fired rounds of 283 and 277 and own a four-shot lead over Georgia Tech. Virginia is third, one shot clear of ASU, Tennessee and Michigan State.

North Carolina’s Jack Fields carded a 9-under 63 in the second round to gain a share of the lead with Michigan’s Jack Schultz (66-69) at 9-under 135. Georgia Tech’s John Tyler Griffin and Michigan State’s Jack Newman, the 2008 U.S. Amateur Public Links champion, are tied for third, one shot off the lead at 8-under 136. Minnesota’s Ben Pisani (68-69) is alone in fifth at 7-under 137.
