TAMPA,
Fla. -- Augusta State fired the low round of the afternoon Saturday -- a 10-under 278 -- and is tied for fifth
through two rounds of the Gary Koch Intercollegiate at Old Memorial Golf Club.
The Jaguars, who were ninth following a first-round of two-under 286, got a five-under 67 from junior Henrik Norlander
and a pair of three-under 69’s from junior Mitch Krywulycz and sophomore Taylor Floyd. Juniors Carter Newman and
Jacob Carlsson each signed for a one-over 73.
One of three Jags under par for the tourney, Norlander is tied for seventh at six-under 138 (71-67). Krywulycz (70-69) is
tied for 13th at five-under 139 and Floyd (73-69) is tied for 27th at two-under 142, while Newman (72-73=145/+1) and
Carlsson (80-73=153/+9) are tied for 46th and 76th, respectively.
With three players in the top 10, Texas Tech (550/-26) owns a four-shot lead over Florida State (554/-22). Florida is six
shots back in third place, while Virginia is fourth, 11 strokes off the Red Raiders’ pace and three shots clear of ASU and
Georgia Southern.
Individually, Florida State’s Seth Lauer stands at 11-under 133 (66-67) and owns a one-shot lead over LSU’s John Peterson
(67-67). Auburn’s Kyle Kopsick is third, two shots back of Lauer, while Texas Tech’s Nils Floren and Chris Ward are tied for
fourth, three shots off the pace.
The Jags will be paired with the Cavaliers and Eagles in Sunday’s third round. Carlsson will lead ASU out on the course at
8:45 a.m., followed by Newman at 8:54, Floyd at 9:03 and Krywulycz at 9:12, with Norlander anchoring the lineup at 9:21
a.m.
