AWENDAW, S.C. -- Augusta State slipped into a tie for seventh place following the second round of the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate at Bulls Bull Golf Club.

The Jaguars posted a 298 and are tied with Central Florida for seventh place at 14-over 582. Senior Keith Guest is tied for 12th after a second-round 75. Freshman Henrik Norlander shared ASU’s best round of the day, a three-over 74, and moved into a tie for 30th. Jake Amos is tied for 37th after a 74, while Mitch Krywulycz is tied for 44th. Junior Tarik Can is tied for 50th.

South Carolina owns a one-shot lead over North Carolina State, while Clemson, Auburn and Florida round out the top five. North Carolina State’s Matt Hill, on the strength of a four-under 67, moved out in front by a shot over Wake Forest’s Webb Simpson.

The three-day, 54-hole event concludes with Tuesday’s final round. Can will lead off at 10:40 a.m. off the first tee for ASU, which is slated to be paired with South Carolina and Florida
