FLORENCE, S.C. -- The nationally ranked Francis Marion men's and women's tennis teams swept a pair of Peach Belt Conference dual matches from Augusta State University Wednesday afternoon on the Kassab Courts in Florence, S.C.

The 16th-ranked FMU men (8-1, 4-1 PBC) swept all three doubles matches and split the six singles matches to claim a 6-3 win over the 27th-ranked Jaguar men (10-7, 0-5 PBC).

The 13th-ranked Patriot women (7-3, 3-2 PBC) lost only the No. 3 doubles match en route to an 8-1 win over ASU (9-7, 1-5 PBC). The only win for the Jags came in the doubles third position, where Jeaneen Brester and Ashley Abrams pulled off an 8-6 victory.

Both ASU squads will be back on the court on March 21 when they travel to Aiken, S.C., to take on USC Aiken in conference dual matches. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
