AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State’s women’s tennis coach Michael McGrath has been named the Wilson/ITA Coach Of The Year for the Mid-Atlantic Region, according to a recent announcement from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

McGrath guided the Lady Jaguars to a 15-10 record in 2007, marking a 10-win improvement over their 2006 win total. ASU was ranked 33rd in the nation and advanced to the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional in Columbus, Ga.

Under McGrath, the Lady Jags have advanced to NCAA Regional play four times in the last seven seasons.
