AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Augusta State tennis teams played host to Anderson Tuesday afternoon at Newman Tennis Center. The Lady Jags won 8-1 while the men fell 7-2 to the Trojans.

For the women, the Jags swept the singles and went 2-for-3 in doubles, dropping to Anderson pair Brittany Beal and Aline Salvany. The Lady Jags improve to 12-2 overall.

On the men's side, the Jags dropped to the Trojans 7-2 with Igor Vasconcellos taking the only win for the Jags over Andersons' Jan Schiebler in singles, 7/6 6/7 11/9. In doubles, ASU pair Sergi Mullor and Wu Ferraz captured the only win. Augusta State dropped to 9-5 overall.

The Jags will return to action Sat., Mar. 15 when they host Francis Marion in a PBC match-up. The match is set to start at 12:00 p.m. at the Newman Tennis Center.
