AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The No. 19 Drury University women's tennis team edged No. 28 Augusta State, 5-4, in a match played Tuesday at Newman Tennis Center.

The Panthers (7-1) opened with losses against doubles teams Nathalia Rodrigues and Fernanda Chiaparini and Laura Ferreira and Bianca Machado, but picked up a victory by the No. 3 unit of Thu Ha Mai and Lindsey Castrodale to enter singles down 2-1.

Augusta State then captured singles victories from Bianca Machado and Camila Correa but Drury picked up one of the key triumphs a 6-3, 7-5 victory by Castrodale over Giovanna Fensterseifer as the Panthers dropped Augusta State to 13-3.

ASU returns to action this afternoon where they host Barton College in a non conference match up at Newman Tennis Center. First serve is set for 3:00 p.m.
