AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The #8 Clayton State Lakers defeated the #28 Lady Jaguars, 7-2, in Peach Belt Conference action at The Newman Tennis Center Thursday.

Giovana Fensterseifer picked up the only singles win for the Jags, defeating Veronika Jasenovcova 6-1, 6-0. In doubles play the team of Camila Correa and Nathalia Rodrigues picked up the other win of the day for ASU.

With the win, Clayton State moves to 13-1 on the season and 6-1 in the Peach Belt Conference, while the Jags dropped to 14-4 and 3-3 in the PBC.

The netters are back in action Friday, March 21, in a NCAA matchup against Albany State at the Newman Tennis Center. The matches begin at 1:00 p.m.
