AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Augusta State Jaguars split with the Francis Marion Patriots Thursday, March 27, for Senior Day at the Newman Tennis Center. Senior netters Arthur Figueiro, Sergi Mullor and Laura Ferreira all competed in there last home game at ASU.

For the Women, the Jags went 1-5 in singles picking up a win from Camila Correa over Valeska Ibscher 0/6 6/2 6/2. In doubles, ASU went 1-2 with the team of Camila Correa and Giovana Fensterseifer picking up a win over Magda Jezovicova and Tereza Sykorova 8/1.

The loss drops the Jags to 16-5 and 5-4 in the PBC while the win keeps the Patriots undefeated 16-0 and 8-0 in the PBC.

In singles, the men picked up three wins against the Patriots from Sergi Mullor, Wu Farraz and Frederico Mendes. In doubles, the Jags went 2-1 picking up wins from the teams of Sergi Mullor and Arthur Figueiro as well as Igor Vasconcellos and Frederico Mendes. With the win, the Jags move to 14-6, and 3-4 in the PBC.

The Jaguar netters are back on the road Monday, April 14, to close their spring season in a Peach Belt Conference matchup against Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Ga. The matches begin at 2:00 p.m.
